Today, I've picked out a couple of cane glass beads from my collection to turn into Christmas Lanterns.
To make a pair of these earrings, you'll need the following supplies:
- 2 Furnace Cane Glass Beads
- 4 Beadalon silver plated bead caps
- 4 x 6mm silver crystal rondelles
- 4 x 3mm silver ball beads
- 2 crystal teardrops
- 2 silver seed beads
- 2 x 4mm jump rings
- 2 silver head pins
- 2 silver eye pins
- 2 silver earring wires
- tools: round nose pliers, flat nose pliers, flush cutters
Thread the seed bead and teardrop on the headpin. Leave a 2-3mm gap above the bead and bend the head pin at a 45° angle .
Form a loop with the round nose pliers.
Hook it onto the bottom of the lantern component and create a wrapped loop. Trim the excess.
Connect the earring wire to the lantern with the jump ring.
Use the remaining beads and findings to create a matching lantern earring.
Check back again tomorrow for the next Christmas earring tutorial.
